1996 Porsche 993 Cabriolet- 57k miles

1997 Porsche 993 Cabriolet- 57k original miles!

What a stunning car! I love what I do because I get to handpick every car I sell, this car exemplifies why “work” isn’t really work for me! This particular 993 is simply drop-dead gorgeous! I just ran the car to the gas station right around the corner and I got two thumbs up and one guy who struck up a conversation at the pump. What are you waiting for?

Here is the overview:

This car was special ordered new by its original owner at Boardwalk Porsche in Dallas, TX. The original owner wanted to experience the car on its home soil and so he selected European delivery. The car was delivered at the Porsche Delivery Center in Stuttgart on June 28th 1996. The original owner had the car until 2005 and 34k miles and it was passed to another Porsche enthusiast in Dallas. In 2010 the car came to California where it has been since. I love cars from ideal climate areas, no rust, no bad roads, just perfect car preservation climates!

Here is how it is equipped:

  • Guards Red Exterior
  • Classic Grey Partial Leather interior
  • Black Top
  • 6-speed manual
  • OEM Litronic Headlights
  • OEM 18” Hollow Spoke Technology Wheels
  • 12-way power Driver and Passenger seats w/ Lumbar left and right
  • Crest in Headrest

The car was in great shape when I got it, but I always like to make them a little bit better. Here is what I have done to the car:

  • Annual service including oil and filter, air filter and new drive belts w/updated pulleys
  • New hood struts
  • Replace weeping lower valve cover gaskets
  • Replace Right outside mirror motor that was inoperative
  • Detail- Now that the car was mechanically perfect I decided to make it aesthetically perfect as well. So off it went to Metropolitan Detail (www.metropolitandetail.com ) for an full detail and paint correction, this 993 absolutely pops!

The car of course drives exactly as a well serviced and sorted 993 should, which is to say spectacular! Everything works as designed and the air blows cold. Having a full history shows the car has received excellent care and has received every interval service along the way.

The body and paint are nearly flawless and would stand proud at any regional PCA event. I will disclose that after I bought the car I was driving it and struck an animal in the right front corner, putting a crack in the bumper cover and breaking the marker light and headlight lens. This started the classic slippery slope. I could simply replace the bumper cover and broken lights and make it 90% better or I could undertake refinishing the front end of the car to make it like new. I decided that I would replace the bumper cover, make the needed repairs and clean up the 57k miles worth of nicks and chips. As a result I had the entire front end resprayed along with the right side of the car. All the work was done by Queen City, an authorized Porsche bodyshop in Redmond, WA. I am happy to share before pictures for those interested. The car came out SPECTACULAR. As a result of this there is not a nick, chip, nothing in this car. WOW! The interior is likewise immaculate.

The car comes complete with all books, 2 keys, tool kit and service history. The only item missing is the correct tire pump. This car is a classic example of getting what you pay for. It truly is an outstanding example suitable for the most discriminating of buyers, no stories, no excuses, here it is!

Why settle for an OK example when you can have exceptional?
