This is THE cabriolet- Paint to sample, rare options, and full history from new… WOW! Here is this car’s story:
The particular car was special ordered new at Larry Meyers Porsche-Audi in Beaverton, Oregon. The original owner, being a Porsche fanatic since the 356 days, knew exactly what he wanted. Here is what he ordered:

Tonneau Cover $511
Monterey digital cassette radio $625
Limited Slip Differential $595
Power Locks $250

16” forged alloy wheels $1580

Delivery $375
Grand Total $42205
He picked the car up on June 7th, 1985 and treasured the car, servicing it exclusively at Sunset Porsche. I have every receipt from its first service at 1,298 miles to current. The subsequent owner was also a long-time Porsche Club member who doted on the car and made sure everything was just so. I, of course, have all this documentation to tell this car’s story. As such, it is truly one of the nicest 3.2 Carreras I have ever seen.
Body and Paint- The car is finished in very rare Pastel Beige, which appears white in most lights but has a very creamy yellow hue, very cool and much richer than the more common Grand Prix White nor as “flat” a color as Chiffon White. The body and paint is simply stunning! In 1991, the original owner was driving the car and a piece of wood flew up and damaged the hood and right fender and repairs were made to those two panels at that time. No other work or damage ever.
Interior- The car is finished in a stunning combination of full leather, pinstripe velour and sport seats. It is VERY clean and shows careful ownership. None of the typical wear you so often see on these cars.
Top- The car has a brand new convertible top and is as new with a crystal clear rear window. The car comes with both a color matched brown boot cover as well as the hard to find OEM tonneau cover, which covers the entire cockpit. Both covers have the correct vinyl pouches for storage.
Mechanicals- This car has been obsessively maintained and its meticulous records show attention to the finer details such as regular oil services, valve adjustments and just general TLC. I am happy to detail any of this history to a prospective buyer. The engine is bone dry and is ready to go. Suffice it to say, the car runs and drives exactly how it should and just like it did back in 1985.
Electronics and gauges- EVERYTHING on this car works. Including all gauges, windows, climate control, door locks, lights, dash lights, cruise control, etc. The air-conditioning blows cold, as tested in our 100-degree summer temperatures. It currently has an updated radio, however, if a buyer prefers, I will install a correct Blaupunkt Monterey.
Trunk and accessories- The trunk carpet is in like-new condition, the spare and all tools are present, and the air compressor is still in its original box. Nice!
Documentation- I have EVERY service record from new on this car, literally at least 100 invoices, showing the care the car received. I also have all the original books and manuals, VIN matched service booklet, correct case, original keys and codes, etc.
To be a top-tier collectible, the car has to be 100% complete–that IS this car. Here is what the car will come with:
- Original Window sticker
- Complete Service history from day 1 to current
- Original owner’s manual, VIN matched service booklet, original Blaupunkt manual, all in the correct OEM Burgundy case

- Concours ready 100% pristine OEM tool kit
- Factory tire inflator, jack, drop cloth and yellow gloves
- Original OEM tonneau cover, OEM boot cover and 2 vinyl storage bags
