1986 Porsche 3.2 Carrera Coupe-17,578 miles!
I am really struggling to write about this particular 3.2 Carrera, is it because I don’t like it? Quite the opposite, I am struggling because I am VERY conflicted as to whether or not I should sell it. This particular 911 was part of my personal collection for several years until a longtime client talked me out of it, I have it back and it just speaks to me. For many logical reasons it makes sense to find it a home in a client’s garage. Emotional reasons however keep screaming at me “Don’t do it….”
So if you’re used to my fun prose about the various cars I have listed for sale, this wont be one of them. This car can be summed up very easily, it has to one of the finest 3.2 Carrera Coupe’s in the WORLD! That’s a bold statement but I am very particular and I know this car will pass muster with the most discriminating of collectors. The high points:
100% original in EVERY respect! You will note in the photos that it has 7” and 8” Fuchs. Those are the wheels I install if I want to drive the car; it will come with its pristine original 6” and 7” wheels with Brand new Porsche Classic “N” Spec Pirelli P7 tires mounted on them. As new!
100% original paint
Fully documented from new
Sold new in Portland, OR and has never seen any type of weather.
The most heavily optioned 3.2 I have seen: Full leather including dash (only available via special order vs. the typical full leather “beltline”), full power heated seats left and right, limited slip, sport suspension, short shift, alarm, forged wheels, Blaupunkt radio, Cruise control, extended hub, auto heat, etc.
This car is not your typical accidently low mileage car, it has been the owner’s life’s work to preserve and love this car and it shows.
EVERY accessory it was delivered with in flawless condition.
This car is ready for full concours judging at the highest level.
I could go on and on about this car, it’s that one in a million example with the stereotypical un-motivated seller. If you can motivate me and can convince me you will carry the torch of preservation I “might” let you buy it.
Please note the photos show some hazing on the hood, I took these photos on a 35 degree morning and that is condensation forming on it. I probably should take new photos but again unmotivated seller…
