1988 Porsche 3.2 G50 Carrera Commemorative Edition (CE)-40k original miles!
To celebrate the 250,000th 911 built Porsche commissioned 875 CE Editions to be built worldwide, 300 of which came to the US. They were available in either a Coupe, Cabriolet or Targa, but I am not able to find information to substantiate the breakdown by body type, suffice it to say, not many!
This particular CE was sold new on February 29th, 1988 at Schneider-Nelson Porsche Audi. It has had 5 owners since then, all of whom meticulously documented their service and the last 3 were all my clients! I have EVERY piece of documentation from Day 1 on this car, literally to be clear it comes with:
- The original window sticker
- The original purchase invoice in the Schneider Nelson Folio
- The original Commemorative Edition Brochure
- The UNOBTAINIUM Commemorative Edition Dash Medallion!
- Every service record starting at 1,133 miles to current with no gaps!
- All the original books and manuals
- Porsche Certificate of Authenticity

The only additional option specified on this car was the Reno Radio. The car is 100% stock and original with no modifications of any kind.
The body and paint on this car have to be seen to be believed, it is simply gorgeous! Starting in 1987 Porsche was kind enough to start placing VIN tags on all the removable panels, which helps identify if panels are original. This car has matching VIN tags on every panel, including front hood, both front fenders, both doors and rear engine lid. The windshield is Original Sekurit glass.
The silver blue interior is without reproach. No ticky-tacky wear is evident anywhere and the seat finish is oh so cool! Every switch, light, button, etc. works as designed.
Under the front hood everything is just as you would expect. Option sticker underneath the hood, spare in jack in place, an absolutely pristine show quality tool kit, air-compressor, lay down plastic and gloves. Its ready for you local concours!
Mechanically this car is absolutely outstanding. It’s one of the nicest driving 3.2’s I have had in a LONG time. Upon inspection the motor was dry with exception of a small leak at the passenger side valve cover, which was just remedied along with the car receiving its annual service. It makes great power and shifts like a dream. Both the engine and transmission are original to the car and the VIN tag on the bottom of the case matches. This car has been loved and it shows. Current mileage is 40,xxx
