1994 Porsche RS AMERICA-34,650 original miles!
Anybody who knows me knows that I have a particular passion for the RS America. As a teenager I was blessed enough to work at the Porsche dealer when these cars were new. I of course couldn’t afford one, but I lusted after them as I was blessed to be able to do their new car details and got the occasional run to the gas station… Maybe I didn’t pick the closest station….This one was even sold thru my dealership when new!
Fast forward 25 years and now I have owned many of these cars and remain as passionate about them as I did back then!
This particular car is # 675/701 RS America’s built and 58/84 of the final 1994 model year. As most buyers know these cars came in very limited color and option configuration. Here is how this car is equipped:
L80K- Guards Red Exterior
XX Interior- Black cloth with Red Seatbelts and door pull straps
220- Limited Slip Differential
650- Sunroof
Ownership History-
- Sold New at Barrier Porsche November 30th (funny story I also sold a Midnight Blue RSA sold the same day at this store!) to a local PCA member who owned the car until 2002.
- Owner 2- purchased 10/9/2002 with 26,049 miles and has owned it for the past 18 years.
- Current mileage is 34,650!
The body and paint on this car has to be seen to be believed, it’s gorgeous. The wheels are freshly refinished and aesthetically it’s close to perfect. The hood and right door have been painted due to chips and nicks. The asking price on the car reflects what I believe to be a market correct deduction for this. The original owner added the 3.6 Turbo style projector foglights/brake cooling ducts (functional). When these cars were new the RS side badges and RS America script could be added by the dealer or left uninstalled, these were never installed on this car. The original decals are included with the car and are the NOS pieces (see photos). The Carfax and title are of course clean.
The interior is likewise in amazing original condition. The only modification of any kind to the car was the addition of a radio (it was originally a radio delete, although even the radio delete cars came from the factory with speakers.)
Mechanically it is 95% stock; the only modifications are Euro springs/ride height and a primary muffler bypass (original included). I have a complete service history, which I am happy to review with any potential buyer.
The car is current on all service and I just installed 4 new N-Spec Michelin Pilots, so it is mechanically ready to go!
As a collectible it is important that all the documentation and accessories be present, here is what I have:

- Porsche Certificate of Authenticity (Car is numbers matching)
- RS America Technical literature
- RS America brochure
- Toolkit, jack, gloves and lay down cloth

If you are looking for a turnkey original RSA that can be immediately driven, this is your car! So many of the cars on the market are previous track cars that owners have attempted to take back to original to capture the increase in market prices, don’t be fooled… Buy an example that has been loved and cherished since new!
I personally own a RSA so I know them well; this is a VERY nice example yet priced below many of the lesser quality higher mileage ones currently on the market. What are you waiting for?
