1997 Porsche 993 C2S- Heavily Optioned and just 30k miles!

If you have been looking for a wide-body 993 and you want something a little more unusual, this might be your car! A 993 C2S replete with an option code tag filled from top to bottom!

In 1997 Porsche created what many feel like is the “ultimate” normally aspirated 993. They created the C2S, which takes the beauty of a normally aspirated 993 but couples it with the Twin-Turbo wide bodywork. Previously if you wanted a Wide-body (WB) 993 you had to have all wheel drive (C4S or Turbo). For us purists a Porsche should be rear wheel drive, so… the C2S was born. I guess us purists drive demand, because demand is very high for these cars. Porsche sold just 759 of these cars in 1997 and 993 of them in 1998, or 1752 in total here in the US. Making them a rare find!

Here is how the car was ordered:

  • Guard Red Exterior
  • Black Full Leather Interior- $3,992
  • Porsche Floor Mats Black- $110
  • AM/FM Radio w/CD- $315
  • Torque Limited Slip with ABD- $1,253
  • Leather Tray behind parking brake- $266
  • Carbon Leather Steering Wheel- $1,577
  • Brake Shifter Carbon/Aluminum- $830
  • X71, X70 & X54 (Aluminum sills, dials, wide ovals)- $2,075
  • Aerokit II- $7,047
  • Seat Stitching Red- $216
  • Red Stitching Door Handles- $134
  • Red Stitching Dash- $134
  • Red Stitching Console- $134
  • Red Stitching Storage tops- $134
  • Red Seatbelts- $506
  • Porsche Crests in headrests- $194
  • Motor sound- $332
  • Rear Window Wiper- $357
  • Hi-Fi Sound- $930
  • Litronic Lights- $1,536
  • On Board Computer- $440
  • Supple Leather- $398

Original MSRP was $87,425! Yes, it truly has $23,675 in options alone! There are VERY few 993 C2s’ that are heavily optioned. Try and find another one like it!

In addition the following upgrades have been made:

  • Bilstein PSS10 Suspension
  • Clear Film covering front bumper, half hood, front fenders, mirrors

Aesthetically this car is near perfect, in so many cases a car looks much better in photos than in real life… This car looks as good in person as it does in these photos. The paint is free of swirls and imperfections and there is nothing worth disclosing. No accidents, no excuses, ready for your local Porsche gathering, drive or concours.

The interior is likewise spotless. If you haven’t seen a 993 with full leather (rare outside of Turbo’s) you are in for a treat. I never thought my 993 interior looked bad, until I saw this car and I was just blown away. Full leather, deviated red stitching everywhere, the full leather/carbon wheel, the aluminum trim bits, WOW! SO much richer than the standard interior on 95% of the other 993’s out there! Other than a slight amount of patina on the drivers bolster, it’s like new.

Mechanically this car is without reproach. It’s current on all service, the tires are newly installed and I couldn’t find any leaks upon close inspection. Everything works as designed and the AC blows cold. The updated suspension and factory motor sound makes this a great driving 993.

I have paper service records for the past 8 years, the service book is stamped prior and the Carfax details other maintenance earlier in the cars life. The Carfax is of course clean and it comes complete with the following items:

  • Certificate of Authenticity
  • Copy of the Original Window Sticker
  • Tool kit/gloves/tire bag
  • Air pump
  • Jack in the correct bag
  • Original books and manuals/case
  • 2 original keys
  • Clean Carfax

This is a solid, great driving and iconic car. Ask almost any air-cooled fanatic and they will list the 993 C2S as on of the cars to own! Come see why…
