Some of the "skeptic" posts werr interesting to read. I wanted to say "Uh...do you know who the seller is? Its the Porsche Jedi for crying out loud!" LOL

I used to have one of these many years ago and it was a ton of fun. Great gas mileage too.

I truly do have an amazing job, however there are still things that make my want to quit and become a hermit on some remote island.... High on my list is the absolute INSANE pricing some shops are now charging unsuspecting customers for service work. I 100% believe a shop deserves to be paid well to do excellent work, no issue there BUT when I see estimates like this? My head wants to swivel off and I feel like swearing off Porsche....

I took the dealerships name off the quote to be kind BUT here is the overview:

997.2 Turbo S- oil and filter, brake fluid flush, air filter, new spark plugs, PDK service, new drive belt, AWD controller flush- $9,921.62! This is work that could easily be completed in less than 1 day and sub $700 in parts.... I don't even know what to say.... ... See MoreSee Less

So, what shop in the greater Eastside / south SnoCo area does good, competent and reasonably priced Porsche service?

Also unfortunate is that master techs working at these shops aren’t even paid that well. Even the best techs who have been at it for decades usually make significantly less than the front service advisor (especially at dealerships). The advisors are often paid commission as well on how much work they sell to customers who may not even need that work (eg suggesting work done before it is really time/mileage to do that work).

It certainly appears to be. Although the new Porsche dealership in Lynwood is closer I doubt they will be any less expensive than Bellview. The upside is I save time and gas getting there.

Ya it’s getting crazy

I was quoted “the price of a new set of tires” to replace a noisy water pump on my daily driver, took me a few hours but I did it myself for under a hundred, I understand making money but are shop rates now over $400 an hour?

name and shame! im very fortunate to have an extremely competent indy porsche shop in the northeast.

What’s sad, is the reason they can continue to do this is because there are people blindly paying this BS service cost.

I would be shocked to see a bill like that. Even my independent who is a touch on the high side . Has a 24 month or 24,000 mile warranty on there work. And are undoubtedly the best I have found.

The car service industry has gone totally bonkers. Here in WA, we just simply need to have good independents for healthy competition. Like you, I would go to and pay more for a good mechanic, but this is shameless gouging😡

Well, weed is legal here, I bet if you asked again the total would probably different.
