I love how each German manufacturer takes a slightly different path to achieve performance as that imbues each brand with a certain personality. With AMG, Mercedes-Benz has essentially created the “German Muscle Car”, instead of exotic methods and turbo-charging (at least in this era!) they simply used the age old principle of displacement. There is something SO satisfying about 5.5 liters of displacement and 376lb ft of torque put out by a good old fashioned V8…. Now make that V8 a hand-assembled masterpiece by the craftsmen in Affalterbach and now you have muscle AND soul…

This particular CLK55 was sold new at Mercedes-Benz of Yakima on June 14th of 2004 and the original owner drove it just 2,895 when it was traded in at Mercedes-Benz of Tri-Cities. My client subsequently purchased it as 1 of 3 Mercedes in the garage and it was strictly used for sunny day, top down driving. Current mileage is an unbelievable 8,262 miles! Even though it was driven very little it has been serviced annually for time.

As you can imagine the car is literally NEW in every aspect: body, paint, interior, trim, etc.. It is wearing 100% original paint as verified by a paint meter and has never been damaged in any way. The interior smells new and the thing I marvel at most is the way the leather on the steering wheel feels, soft just like nobody has ever handled it… The small things are what delight…

One of the things that I love about this particular car is that it represents AMG/Mercedes product before they got incredibly complex, which makes me nervous to sell or own long-term as I am fearful of maintenance costs. This particular car has none of the typical problem areas that cause heartburn for Mercedes Owners such as Airmatic, SBC, Distronic, Keyless-GO, et.al… If you have owned a Mercedes you know what I am talking about. This car is quite simple as Mercedes go, yet it’s performance is anything but! This is a car I would own long-term with little concern about a litany of issues popping up.

Even though it is like new I wanted to make sure it was my standard, here is what is being completed:

-Annual service completed at Mercedes-Benz including: oil and filter, new key remote batteries, brake fluid flush, full inspection. No items noted!

-4 New Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Tires- It is currently wearing its original tires, clearly 4 new tires are due for time. I wasn’t going to scrimp so I am installing the best tires money can buy for this car!

-Full detail and paint correction at Metropolitan Detail so it will look like 2004 all over again…

The car comes complete with the following:

-Original books and manuals

-2 original keys

-Full service history exclusively with Mercedes-Benz and a complete VMI History Report

-Factory rear wind deflector and un-used First Aid Kit.

These are they types of cars that I love to sell, truly no excuses of ANY kind. Sure this is a lot of money for 2004 CLK55, however could you find a better or amazing car for this type of money? I doubt it…
