2005 Porsche Boxster S- w/ 9,400 original miles!!
The Porsche Boxster S is simply a magical car! You probably already know that or you wouldn’t be reading this! So now that you have decided you want a Boxster how do you find just the right one? This IS the right one! Why do I say that? Simply because if you were to read any buyers guide it would tell you what to look for when buying one of these and this car would check every box. Here we go:
History- this is a two-owner car that was sold new February 14th2005 at Porsche of Springfield. The original owner owned the car for the next 11 years until he sold it to its 2ndPCA member owner in Phoenix, AZ when it had 6,560 miles on it. It has never been damaged in any way and is wearing 100% original paint as verified by a paint meter. It of course has a perfect Carfax (please ask for a copy) and has never been subjected to any adverse weather. It is not your typical Boxster that has passed through 5 owners, two auto auctions and four states. Why would you want that car vs. the cherished PCA member owned example?
Service- this car has been meticulously maintained since day 1. Many of these low mileage cars don’t get much service as the owner mistakenly services them simply based on miles. The factory service interval is 20,000 miles so sadly I often see these cars that have had only 1 service! CRAZY! This car has been serviced 7 times over the past 9k miles, exclusively at the Porsche dealer.

Overall Condition- This car is simply like a new 987 Boxster. The paint is deep and lustrous and the interior is a knockout, especially with the full leather, which is quite rare on these. It makes all the difference in how the interior looks and feels. I don’t know what more to say, you will have to look VERY closely to find any flaws. I could mention a few: the climate control button is sticky (common issue) and there are a few marks underneath the front bumper from a low driveway, that about all I can find! It’s like being able to step back in time and pick up a new Boxster S from the Porsche dealer, except now it’s half price…
Tires and Wheels- The 19” wheels just make this car, having the right wheel fitment that fills the fenders give them just the right athletic stance. I am also a fanatic about correct tires, the best thing about Boxsters is their AMAZING handling and then people install sub standard cheap tires! UGH! This car has the best tire on the market, the Michelin Pilot PS2 (Official N-Spec Porsche Tire) that were just installed at 8,050 miles. The wheels are also pristine inside and out and have no curb rash, nice!
Documentation- A Porsche should have all of its correct parts and pieces. Here is what this car comes with: All the original books and manuals (VIN matched) in the correct case, both original keys, valet key, Window Sticker, Certificate of Authenticity, complete front trunk toolkit and a full service history from new in an organized 3-ring binder.
Overall this is a no excuses, perfect history Boxster. It truly has less than 10,000 original miles…. What are you waiting for; it belongs in your garage!
