2012.5 Porsche 991 Carrera “S”- Racing Yellow on Black Leather, PDK, power sport seats, PDLS, Park Assist, BOSE, Premium Package +, just 18k miles, as new!

Color combination is EVERYTHING when specifying a car. For example if you ordered this car in the standard Platinum Silver with Black interior it would just be ho-hum… Specify it in Racing Yellow, now you have a car that makes a STATEMENT! As a purveyor of more classic Porsche the one request I get OVER and OVER is a desire for COLOR! Customers are demanding fun, bright and whimsical colors. Sadly most modern cars stick to a palate of industrial colors: white, silver, grey or black…..If you are going to buy a Porsche, why would you want boring???

The best thing about the 991 is that they were the 1st regular (not GT) generation of 911 to break 400hp with a normally aspirated engine, the 3.8 liter 400hp motor in these Carrera “S” models is a thing of absolute beauty! They have plenty of low end torque but boy do they LOVE to REV. Did I mention the sound?? A flat six wail that has more urgency than the outgoing 997.2 but without the taint of turbocharger muffle of the 991.2 and 992 cars. A sweet spot for sure….

This particular 991 is a very early build example, in fact it is what was called a “launch vehicle” meaning it was ordered by PCNA to be used for either an auto show or for a dealers first example of a 991 that wasn’t meant for immediate sale, but to spur orders for the new car. Clearly they thought Racing Yellow (a new color for 2012) would draw some attention at events! It was first sold by Porsche of Tacoma with each owner has subsequently purchasing it from them, with it having been a local Washington car since new.  I am thrilled to have it!

This car is literally as new in every respect, I crawled all over it to find notable flaws as I HATE customers having surprises, I literally couldn’t find anything worth noting. I will go pour over it again, I know I have to find something! The car of course has a clean Carfax, has never been damaged and is current on all service. It comes with both keys and its original books and manuals.
