One of the both endearing yet frustrating aspects of Porsche is that almost every build is unique and that a cars options/configuration literally make or break a given Porsche. This is especially prevalent in the more entry level Porsche models which are oftentimes spec’d by the Porsche dealer to have a low purchase price. For example a typical 981 Boxster is missing many of the KEY items that really make the car SING…. Well, here is the case of a special ordered Boxster that checks the RIGHT boxes, has a unique combination and as a result is uber desirable. Read on!

This particular 981 Boxster was special ordered new by its original owner at Porsche of Spokane with the following options:

Suffice it to say I LOVE this car, so much so that I actually purchased the car last August and my wife and I have used it for several trips, clearly I am not the best business owner as I just had slightly more than zero motivation to list it for sale….

So what do I LOVE about this car? First off it is drop dead gorgeous! I am a sucker for red interior and I LOVE Basalt Black, which has a goldish green metal flake that softens and warms up the black in a way you simply cant capture in photos, wow! Now, being historically an air-cooled 911 guy, I really prize both the sound and the engine charicterstics of the smaller displacement flat-6. These 2.7 liter motors make over 100hp/liter and the both want and need to REV! So give it a 6-speed manual gearbox, open up the sports exhaust (so RARE on these!) and spin this thing to its 7,600 rpm redline! If you are looking for the fastest Porsche made or one that has effortless low end torque, this isn’t it… If you want to become simpatico between driver and machine and be rewarded for it, this is your car!

Aesthetically this car is of my quality for sure, it has been loved and cherished and looks close to new inside and out. You will be impressed! The only notable flaw is the headlight lenses have some small micro cracks in them, which is a known issue with this generation of Porsche. Worth noting is that the drivers side lower plastic rocker trim was damaged in a parking lot and replaced, I have a photo if you would like to see that. 

Mechanically this car is 100% ready to go. As is my style I wanted this car current on everything so I had the complete 4-year/40k service done (I know most dealers wont do this, nor will I always get a direct ROI but I sleep better at night knowing it is RIGHT!):
