I truly have an amazing job and not just for the reasons you would think… Sure I get to drive some truly world class cars and I get to attend some of the best car events on the planet. Ultimately however what really makes this job so much fun is the people. As a general rule my customers are kind, passionate, knowledgeable, generous and so much more. It is almost as if being a Porsche enthusiast is a selection process that weeds out undesirable personality traits. Sure I get the occasional person who personifies the stereotype, but it’s rare!
The owner of this 991 Carrera S is just the type of client I really enjoy, a lifelong Porsche enthusiast who knows what he wants, enjoys driving it and treats it appropriately! I had the opportunity to sell his previous 997 Carrera (also Guards Red on Black!) and watched, as he carefully spec’d out this car as the replacement. The 991 was first introduced in the middle of 2012 and it was a resounding success for Porsche. Driving one and it is easy to see why. It strikes an excellent balance of speed, razor sharp handling, comfort and an easy to use sensibility so often missing in modern sports cars. Sure you can drive this 400hp machine at 10/10ths and it will reward you, but you can also press it into daily driver duty providing both reliable and comfortable motoring but also a little reward for the driver! I do wish my daily driver didn’t need to be a truck (the joys of the car business!), otherwise a PDK equipped 991 would be my stead of choice!
The car has been under the original owners care since new and it shows! It is pristine inside and out, I can find a few scuffs on the plastic threshold, a few tiny paint nicks and that is about it! It of course has never been in an accident or anything untoward and has a clean Carfax. The service has been exclusively done at Porsche of Bellevue and it is current on all service. Current mileage is just over 11,400 miles. The rear tires have just been replaced with the OEM “N” Spec Pirelli P-zero’s.
