Thankfully while I view my cars like “my children” there is one distinction: with my actual children I don’t have a favorite (although each of my 4 like to vie for that title). When it comes to Porsche’s, I certainly have certain models that speak to me more than others. If I am turned off by a certain Porsche, you might notice me never sell one, but I do get slightly more enthusiastic about others. The 981 Cayman GTS is just one of those cars. Truth be told, for more modern Porsche I am a mid-engine guy. I frankly find the overall package to feel more akin to the classic Porsche that is my primary love affair and I appreciate the overall package isn’t so overwhelming that one can’t use it fully on the street. Of the 981’s, the perfect street appliance is the GTS. With a 340hp flat six, manual transmission and X73 Sport Suspension it is ready to tackle any interesting two-lane, yet remains compliant in the typically soul crushing 405 rush hour commute…
