2022 Subaru BRZ Limited-Magnetite Grey Metallic over Black Leather + Ultrasuede- 6-speed, 1-owner, 1,600 miles, a true PURE sports car!

You might be thinking “has Nathan lost his mind”? A Subaru, what? Actually nothing could be farther from the truth, deep down I am passionate about purity of purpose and a near spiritual obsession towards emotional driving experiences. So believe it or not I have always admired the Subaru BRZ/Toyota 86 twins but I did find the first generations power plant to be out of sync with its brilliant chassis dynamics. Fast forward to 2021 and I started reading the reviews on the new 2nd generation BRZ and they are RAVING about the new 2.4 liter power plant and extolling the minor but effective updates to the rest of the car. Needless to say I decided I HAD to have one and put my order in! The car arrived in December and it is EVERYTHING the reviewers said it was, here is the basic formula which “speaks to me”
- Light 2,815lbs
- Rear Wheel Drive-How God intends a sports car to be….
- 6-speed manual- Do I really need to explain this?
- Torsen Limited Slip Differential- YES please!
- Normally aspirated 7,000 rpm motor- Yes, Turbo’s are faster but I like to have to work mine!
Over the past 6 months I have had countless people ask me “You have all these Porsche’s to drive, why this?”, to which they are then subjected to an emotional diatribe extolling many of the above virtues…. Usually they assume I am crazed and wander off, but the true gear heads nod their heads in agreement. So is it a Porsche? No, but it doesn’t need to be! It’s a delightful car in its own right.
So if I am so smitten, why is it for sale? Simple, some people have addictions to alcohol, drugs, gambling, pornography, et al but for me my addiction is cars… The first step is admitting you have a problem: “I have a problem…” and it’s simply that I am out of garage space. I woke up in a cold sweat a couple months ago when I realized that if I died my wife might not know where all my cars are located. I created a spreadsheet that I tucked in the safe for her; one item that stood out in stark relief was that I have cars in 9 different locations. Um, thats a problem….
As you might suspect this car is as new in every respect. I had my friends at Metropolitan Detail install full paint protection film using STEK film and zero seams, I just couldn’t stomach the idea of rock chips. Of course you get both keys, all books, window sticker, two sets of mats (winter and summer), trunk mat and the remainder of the factory warranty. What are you waiting for??
