1983 Porsche 911SC Targa- Chiffon White on Brown, truly remarkable, all original w/ just 62k miles!

I always believe in disclosing my biases up front… so here goes… I personally own a Chiffon White 911SC, so you can consider me a fan boy… For those who follow me you might be familair with my 911SC buyers guide (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPo5Pv5og9g&t=2s ) will see both my personal 911SC as well as this EXACT car! For the past 20 years this 911SC has belonged to a good friend of mine, in fact one of my rare “crossover” friends in that our primary shared love is running, however he is also a car enthusiast. So twice a week we get together and run while talking cars….

He is every bit as passionate and particular as I am, so you can imagine this 911SC is not your typical example. With just under 62k original miles it presents beautifully. This is not your typical SC that was neglected and brought back to life once values began to rise, but one that has been loved and cherished since day 1. I recently took this car on a 25o mile round trip drive to my home in Eastern Washington and back and this car drove EXACTLY how a good SC should. This is something your can’t tease out of a photo, but having driven hundreds of these cars, just a small number have that special magic quality that is so hard to quantify. Trust me, one spin behind the wheel and you will know what I am talking about!

No car is of course perfect, so after that drive I noted that the RF brake caliper was sticking, so I had the fronts rebuilt. I also noticed that the high beams would come on over bumps or when using the turn signal, so we installed a new turn signal switch. 4 new tires were mounted due to age and I now prounouce the car “ready to go!”.

A few other fun notes: the car has both the Carrera tensioner and airbox pop off valve update, it comes complete with 25+ years of service history, books/manauls, tool kit, air pump and more. Now all it needs is the right new owner. Don’t wait, this is the example almost all my buyers tell me they want!
