2005 Lotus Elise- Arctic Silver on Black, 6-speed, Sport and Touring Pkg, Starshield, 39k miles

All good things come to an end… ~ 4 years ago a cleint walked into my store to look at a Boxster that I had for sale, he loved it, not surprising as they are amazing cars! He was looking for an open car that offered a little more storage space, easier ingress/egress, and a little more compliant ride. I remember thinking, “what the heck is he driving whereby a Boxster would be the luxury choice??”

He next asked if I took trades… we walked outside and my eyes fell on this lithe little Elise…I broke my cardinal promise to my wife ‘business, not a hobby..” kept popping into my head, but alas as a car enthusiast it won my heart. I didnt make it to the end of the parking lot before it went from a “trade in” to “Nathan’s Garage”… It has been 4 years and 2,500 miles of pure, unadulterated joy. There is NO bad day when you are driving this car!

I could go on and on but in quick summary:

• Street legal go cart, you WEAR this car, not ride in it!
• The handling limits and communication are INSANE…
• Shift action is click-click on the money!
• The motor… I would have thought how can a Toyota motor have soul? The answer: shove it in a Lotus. It SHRIEKS above 6,000 rpm and LOVES to spin!!
• its truly WORTHLESS as an actual car! Storage? Um, no! functional heat/AC? maybe… Ingress/Egress, I hope you are limber!
• We spent lots of time over the past 4 years making this even better: replaced a leaking oil cooler, new brakes (rotors, pads, sensors, lines) all the way around, new steering rack, updated window regulator shims to alleviate rattles, lightweight battery and hold down, upgraded floor mats and aluminum buttons, alarm bypass module, super sticky tires, etc… Essentially we did all the Elise best practices!
• Has both the touring and the sport package, so the right stuff!
• No accidents, original star shield is still in good shape, both keys, all books and manuals, tool kit etc.

I need to stop writing now as I am losing my desire to sell this car. I promise you will never drive a more fun car!
